As the United Kingdom prepares to bid farewell to its beloved Queen we stand side-by-side with the nation in grief and thankfulness for her beautiful Christian life over the years. We offer a statement by Pastor Jimmy Botha, the president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, on behalf of Seventh-day Adventist church members in Scotland who are saddened by news of the death of Queen Elizabeth.

Scottish Mission Pathfinders in first post-Covid in-person Camporee

Several of the 800 or so campers chose to give their lives to Jesus Christ and to be baptised. According to Pastors Herman, the number was over 60. Equally heart-warming was the packaged food we all donated to a local foodbank, and the overall Camporee experience for the Ukrainian families that were part of our group. I was touched to hear that one said, "It's great that we didn’t think about the war in Ukraine for at least one week". I am proud to be part of a Church that plans such fun activities, shares the love of Jesus and touches people’s hearts.
